Not having
a tokonoma should not stop us displaying our trees.
This small black pine shown on the bathroom window ledge
was much admired by my Japanese guests.
Don't feel
that because you don't have exactly the right items,
you cannot show your trees. Even the top Japanese nurseries
have to make do on occasions. There is no such thing
as the wrong item - only less right.
